Xinjiang to Build Longest Oil Pipeline in Northwest China

Recently, the Chinese Economic and Information Commission stated that construction is to commence in China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous region on a new crude oil pipeline which will be the longest such pipeline in northwestern China.
According to the CEIC, the preparatory work for the pipeline construction has already begun.
The pipeline will extend from the Du Shanzi district near Kelamayi to Shan Shan counties, both in Xinjiang.
The total length of the pipeline will be 536km, while its designed annual capacity is 10 million mt.
The total investment for the project is RMB 2 billion ($0.31 billion).
